WFMS 8TH GRADE FOOTBALL SHAKES UP EAGLE STADIUM!

**?? 8th Grade Falcons Continue to Grow and Compete!**

Our 8th Grade Falcons took the field this week ready for another opportunity to compete, and both teams showed tremendous growth, toughness, and determination from start to finish.

The **A Team** came up just short in a hard-fought, extremely close game. Despite the result, this group continues to show **significant improvement with every game**. The progress from week to week has been evident, and our Falcons continue to play with more confidence, discipline, and physicality. Players like Zion Brown, Ryan Brown and Harlem Hill brought that physicality on defense. Offense gained momentum on plays created by Za'Darrion Eleby, DJ Graves and strong offensive line play. They fought until the final whistle and showed that they are becoming a stronger team with every opportunity they get.

The **B Team** faced adversity of their own. After finding themselves behind at halftime, **Coach Figueroa challenged the team to respond and they did exactly that.** Rather than letting the scoreboard define them, the Falcons answered with their play, effort, and determination. They came out in the second half with a different level of energy and execution, battling their way back and ultimately earning the result they wanted. 212 effort was displayed from the Kickoff Return to the last defensive snap. They head into next week still undefeated and prepared to repeat as District Champions.

Players that embodied that 212 mindset were Javier Cerda, Heath McCarty, Anthony Santoyo, and Julien Jackson. That response is what Falcon Football is all about. **When challenged, we respond. When things don't go our way, we fight.**

Both teams continue to show growth, resilience, and a willingness to get better every time they step on the field. We are proud of the progress these young men are making and the way they continue to compete for one another.
